About our nursery

Owned and operated by Benedicte Jenkinson and husband Stephen, Calamazag Nursery is an RHS Chelsea Gold Medal winning small independent family run plant nursery based on our 30 acre farm near the seaside town of Looe in East Cornwall. 

Our nursery roots date back to the 1950's with Benedicte's Grandparents and then farther growing cut flowers and pot plants. We are now the third ( with a fourth being trained as we speak ) generation, growing a wide range of rarely available plants.

Calamazag Nursery specialise in growing an extensive range of Dianthus, with well over 100 varieties at the nursery and more added every season.

We also grow a wide range of other plants, including alpines, hardy perrenials and lots of plants for summer colour, many of which are rarely available in garden centres and supermarkets.

We have an incredibly diverse base of customers, ranging from people who buy online once a year too large well known gardens, stately homes and even members of the Royal Family.

As well known exhibitors at major UK flower shows, we have been awarded the prestigious RHS Chelsea Gold Medal. We have also been awarded gold medals at many other major flower shows.

We are very much a small family run specialist nursery and are always striving to offer high quality plants & a great service.
